Shine! We drove to Edinburgh on 7/29, to work with Shine which is a YWAM outreach at the Fringe Festival. The Fringe Festival is one of the biggest fine arts festivals in the world, people from all over come to see Comedy, Theater, Music, Dance, and Art Exhibitions. While being there I saw so many amazing things, people singing, magic tricks, and other things that I probably never really wanted to see. We set up amazing Christian concerts, worship services, M.A.D.D (Music, Art, Drama, and Dance) camps for the kids, and did a few videos about Shine and the Fringe. For Shine we really felt we just needed to be a light in the darkness, and to love on the people and really show Gods love.
With our effort there, for 2 weeks. Making everything happen, learning new things like there was so much spiritual warfare, we all had spiritual attacks somehow, like water being spit in faces while we read our bibles, having 3 men swear at us while we were praying and singing, and for me there was a tarot card reader and I wasnt sure why but I was stoped and something inside of me told me to go talk to him. When I did I asked how he got into it. He looked at me strangly and answered the question with "oh Im a healer" I just didnt know what to say to this, so I stood there for a minute and he gave me this evil and scary look so we walked away and then we decided we needed to pray for him so we went across the street and prayed and when I looked over at him while I was praying I saw him glaring at me.
It was hard, yes, but through all of that 6 people were saved!
It was the most amazing experience, but some of us are still a little shaken by what happened.
So with a bit of prayer and more rest we will be alright.

Back from St. Cuthburts Way and The Holy Island
Well I just got back from the 64 mile hike of St. Cuthburts Way. It was supposed to be 62 miles but we got distracted by sheep and walked 2 miles out of our way. :) We got to see the most amazing sites and walked up the most amazing hills that seemed like mountains at the time. It was very hard work and took 5 days to complete. Unfortunately, not all of us were able to do the 5 days, everyone was sick, besides me and one other person, but 5 out of 11 of us completed the whole hike. We were so proud of ourselves and the other for what we have completed. Day 4 of the hike my everything was sore but my foot was the worst, I pushed on no matter what I made that promise to myself and God and I really believe I didnt get sick because of that promise. It was amazing! On Day 5, I was feeling better-ish and then when we were getting closer I stepped off a bridge funny and twisted my ankle in a weird fashion. I thought I was going to need help getting to the end but one of my friends came to me and just asked to pray for me and my ankle, right after that I was feeling so much better and got a sudden burst of energy and made it to Northumberland which is also called Holy Island. It was so beautiful!!!! (I have pictures up on facebook) While we were on Holy Island we had a great speaker (Andy Raine) he talked about our motivational gifts it was so fasinating. We found out that I am an Exhorter which is totally me no doubt. So after that, we drove back home after 3 days at Holy Island and now I am happy I get to sleep in my bed back here in Scotland!!!! YAY!!! Praise to the KING!!!

Prayer and Lots of it
Hey All!
Just letting you all know that I will be going on the 62 mile trek and it is called St. Cuthburts Way (if you would like to look it up). It starts tomorrow and we are all so excited and cant wait to see all the amazing things that God has for us. I ask that you pray for safety and wisdom on this hike and we all learn and bring back great stories, and that we get to know each other better. :)
I would just like you all to know that today, I found out that a friend from school passed away in a car accident this afternoon, along with 2 others. His name was Sean White, I did not know the 2 others. Even though I did not know him well, we still knew each other. I ask that you pray for his family and friends, that God just brings them comfort in this time. Sean was not a christian which makes this even harder for me. I love you all.
Thank you,
Cerina

The 3rd week in.
God has shown me some amazing things while I have been here. Last week for lectures, we talked about God Nature and Character, and WOW it was amazing. We also went on a hike up Conic Hill but my goodness it felt more like a mountain! We also did a thing called Create, it was kinda like an open mic night, and where a bunch of kids come and hang out. I loved it, I really felt God saying to me to Connect with with them and hear there stories. We also did P.I.G (Paisley Is Great) where we did a barbecue in the middle of the square and handed sausages out for free. So that we could give something back to the community and get to know the people here.
This week, we are learning about the the Old Testament and what it means. We have been talking alot about the 1, 2, and 3 chapter of Genesis. It has been amazing.
Friday, We are all going on a 62 mile hike on St. Cuthburts Way and going to Iona. It should be a great growing experience.
Well I have to go the bell just rang...Time for Session! Bye! More tomorrow

Gods amazing miracles that go me here!
I would like to take this time to thank God for His amazing miracles! Here are the amazing things He has done:
Visa: To be able to get to Scotland you need a visa and I thought I sent in all the paper work but realized I hadn't so I went to Chicago the next day to hand in the rest of the paper work plus the photo copies of everything else I sent in. The lady at the counter said that she would be able to put the papers together but it never happened, since the paperwork that I sent by mail was sent back to me saying it was incomplete. So we just waited to see if we were going to get a response but none came, so the day before I had to leave for Scotland Mom and I went to the British Consult and as we stepped up to the counter Mom told the lady what had happened and if there was anything else that they needed to get it approved. The lady looked up where in the process my visa was and then she turned to us and said that it was printing off at that very moment and that I was approved! It was amazing! Mom and I burst into tears with thanks to God. It was a total God thing. He heard our prayers and He answered just in time.
The Plane Ride: This was my first time riding a plane internationally without anyone and I was praying so hard for God to just give me courage, strength and wisdom. As I just finished getting my ticket and on my way to the security I ran into one of my friends from InterVarsity. It was awesome. The weirdest part was when he actually sat in the row right in front of me, it gave me such comfort.
God has done such amazing things I am so amazed by His wonderful love and kindness and goodness.
Well off to class!

YWAM Presentation
Today, at church I gave my YWAM presentation. About what I was going to be doing, where I am going, how I will be getting there and how much it will cost. I had a few people tell me that they were interested and would like to stay updated. I wish I had more time to prepare but its ok no worries I did just fine. I am not a good public speaker so I was really nervous about how it would turn out, but all I had to do was rely on God and He helped me through it no problem.
But if any of you have any questions just let me know and I can let you know more about what I will be doing.
Love
